Description
Diagnostic Technician opportunity in the eastern DFW area! This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly acquired and growing HVAC services company with steady year-round work, a strong residential service base, and involvement in commercial HVAC preventative maintenance as well. This role is ideal for a skilled HVAC professional who can independently diagnose and repair residential systems, communicate clearly with homeowners, and help ensure quality work across service and installation projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Diagnostic Technician position include:
- About 5 years of HVAC field experience with strong residential diagnostic and repair skills.
- Independently diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems, including wiring issues, leaks, controls, thermostat problems, and system performance concerns.
- Perform repairs after diagnosis, including brazing and soldering, which is required.
- Complete preventative maintenance on commercial-grade HVAC systems as needed.
- Supervise subcontracted installation crews and perform quality assurance of their work.
- Use tablets, email, MS Teams, and field service management software to document and communicate job details.
- Maintain a clean background check, clean driving record, and clear, concise English communication with homeowners and customers.
- Certified TDLR Technician preferred, with the ability to explain work performed and recommendations professionally.
Salary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including steady 40-hour work weeks, limited overtime of approximately 2–5 hours per week when needed, a tablet provided, company vehicle dispatched from home, paid drive time for jobs farther than 45 minutes, 401(k) retirement with discretionary company match, potential bonuses or additional contributions, 80 hours per year of prorated paid time off, and five federal holidays.
