Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Drafter I in Allegheny County, PA with a privately held industrial manufacturing company. This is a great opportunity for a true mechanical drafting professional who wants to build a long-term career with a stable, low-turnover company known for customized fluid conditioning, diagnostics, and specialized energy products.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Drafter I position include:
- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Drafting or a related drafting field preferred
- True drafting school background strongly preferred; recent graduates with SolidWorks drafting experience will be considered
- 1–2+ years of actual drafting experience and/or training preferred
- Experience using current versions of AutoCAD and SolidWorks required
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints, with knowledge of geometric tolerances preferred
- Draft and revise 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, including detail, assembly, layout, schematic, diagram, parts list, fixture, and piping drawings
- Create 3D models and assemblies, convert manual drawings into electronic CAD files, and document drawing revisions
- Research SAP BOM components, compare SolidWorks and SAP BOMs, support 3D printing tasks, and assist with engineering documentation
Salary: $23.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
