This Underground Construction Superintendent opportunity is based in the Summerville, SC area with frequent work in regional travel on active sites.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Underground Construction Superintendent position include:
- 10+ years of construction experience with strong underground construction background.
- Oversee underground construction projects across the Summerville area; typically manage 3-5 active jobs.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, schedules, and jobsite priorities.
- Review underground layouts, dimensions, and field conditions to support accurate installation.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications.
- Communicate regularly with project managers and field teams; track progress and help resolve field issues.
- Support schools, hospitals, universities, manufacturing facilities, and larger commercial builds.
- Use Procore for basic project documentation and communication.
Salary: $30-$40/hr, depending on experience.
Benefits: 50% employee-only health insurance coverage, 401(k) contribution after 1 year up to 3%, dental/vision available at employee cost, and PTO after 1 year with 5 vacation days.
