How We Use AI at DAVRON to Supercharge Recruiting

Artificial intelligence is changing the way companies work, and at DAVRON, we’ve chosen to embrace that change.

But our approach to AI has never been about replacing people. It’s about helping our people accomplish more.

Over the past several years, we’ve been developing and integrating artificial intelligence into our recruiting operations to help our recruiters work more efficiently, expand our reach, manage more opportunities, and ultimately provide a better experience for our candidates and clients.

The impact has been significant.

“It has led to an increase in recruiter productivity.” — David Coreen, President of DAVRON

By augmenting our recruiting efforts with AI, we’ve increased our bandwidth and enabled our recruiters to handle more positions without losing the personal relationships that are at the heart of what we do.

Our Philosophy: AI Should Help People Do Their Best Work

Whenever AI enters the workplace, there’s an obvious question: Is this technology eventually going to replace people?

That isn’t how we look at AI at DAVRON.

“People don’t want to feel that AI might replace them. At DAVRON, we use it to support our team and help them do their best work.” — David Coreen

We believe AI is most valuable when it complements the strengths people already bring to their jobs.

Recruiting involves enormous amounts of information. Our recruiters are constantly evaluating candidates, communicating with professionals, managing open positions, working with clients, scheduling conversations, tracking progress, and deciding where to focus their attention.

AI gives us another set of tools to support that work.

It can help us analyze information, find potential candidates, automate repetitive processes, assist with communications, organize workflows, and identify opportunities that may otherwise be difficult to find.

But the recruiter remains at the center of the process.

There will always be human contact at DAVRON.

Our AI can help identify a candidate. It can assist with outreach. It can even help schedule an appointment.

But when that candidate gets on the phone, there’s a real DAVRON recruiter on the other side.

That human connection isn’t something we’re trying to automate away. It’s something we’re using AI to create more opportunities for.

We’re Building Our AI Technology In-House

One of the things we’re especially proud of is that many of the AI systems we use weren’t simply purchased from an outside software provider.

We built them ourselves.

“Our AI programs have been entirely homegrown with DAVRON’s internal software engineering team.” — David Coreen

Our software engineering efforts are led by Elijah Gallatin, Programmer/Analyst and Managing Director, and Kejvi Cupa, Software Engineer.

Because our technology is developed internally, we can build around the actual needs of our recruiters.

Our engineering team understands our processes, our challenges, our data, and the way our recruiters work. Instead of trying to adapt our recruiting operation to fit someone else’s software, we can develop technology specifically around DAVRON.

That has allowed us to experiment quickly and find ways for AI to complement the work our team is already doing.

As Kejvi puts it:

“AI has been extremely synergistic at DAVRON.” — Kejvi Cupa

And those efforts have translated into meaningful results.

“The outcome has been tremendous for us.” — Kejvi Cupa

APEX: Helping Our Recruiters Find More Great Candidates

One of the AI systems our team has developed is APEX, our internal AI-driven sourcing agent.

APEX works alongside our recruiters to help uncover additional qualified candidates for the positions we’re working to fill.

That distinction—alongside our recruiters—is important.

Our recruiters already have extensive experience sourcing and evaluating candidates. APEX doesn’t replace those efforts. It complements them by helping us analyze more information and identify additional possibilities.

This is one of the biggest advantages we’ve found with AI: increased bandwidth.

There is only so much information one person can realistically review in a day. AI gives our recruiters another resource capable of processing information at scale and helping surface opportunities worth exploring.

As a result, our recruiters can focus their expertise where it matters most.

“AI has allowed us to supercharge our activity.” — Kejvi Cupa

More activity can mean more candidates considered, more conversations, and ultimately more opportunities to make the right connection between a talented professional and one of our clients.

Hermes: Using AI to Create More Human Conversations

Finding a candidate is only part of recruiting.

We still need to make a connection.

That’s where Hermes, our AI-powered outreach system, comes in.

Hermes helps us reach out to candidates and schedule interested professionals to speak directly with our recruiters.

It’s a great example of how we think AI should work.

The technology can help us initiate more conversations and manage the logistics of connecting with candidates, but it isn’t intended to replace the recruiter.

Our AI agent makes appointments for candidates to speak with real DAVRON recruiters.

There’s always a real person on the other side.

Instead of using AI to eliminate human interaction, we’re using it to help create more human interaction.

OITrack: Helping Us Make Sense of the Recruiting Process

Another important system we’ve developed is OITrack.

At a high level, OITrack acts as a helper throughout our recruiting process, assisting our team in making sure important steps get completed and information stays organized.

But we’ve also incorporated AI into the system.

OITrack can help us evaluate how closely a candidate may fit a particular role, assist with generating candidate and client emails, and help us understand recruiting metrics and other information.

For our team, one of the most exciting things about AI is its ability to help us explore information in ways that weren’t previously practical.

“AI helps us explore possibilities we couldn’t before.” — Elijah Gallatin

Recruiting generates a tremendous amount of information. The challenge isn’t simply collecting it. The challenge is understanding what it means and knowing what deserves attention.

That’s where the combination of our operational intelligence and artificial intelligence becomes particularly useful.

“OITrack and AI help us make sense of vast amounts of information, giving our recruiters the insights they need to perform at their best.” — Elijah Gallatin

The goal is to give our recruiters better information so they can make better-informed decisions.

AI Is Helping Us Stay Organized and Communicate Better

Our use of AI isn’t limited to candidate sourcing.

As our recruiting activity increases, staying organized becomes even more important.

AI can help our team manage information, understand where candidates are in the process, communicate more efficiently, and keep important tasks from getting lost as recruiters manage multiple positions.

Jessica Root, our Recruiting Manager and Recruiting Director, has seen that impact firsthand.

“Our AI tools help keep everyone organized and have improved communication across the team.” — Jessica Root

That increased organization becomes especially valuable as our overall recruiting bandwidth grows.

If technology allows us to work on more opportunities, we also need technology that helps our team manage that increased activity effectively.

AI Has Increased Our Recruiting Bandwidth

Perhaps the simplest way to describe the impact of AI at DAVRON is this:

Our team can do more.

Our recruiters can handle more positions because AI assists with parts of the recruiting process that traditionally require significant amounts of time.

Candidate discovery can become more efficient. Outreach can happen at a greater scale. Information can be organized faster. Metrics can become easier to interpret. Administrative tasks can require less manual effort.

We’ve effectively augmented recruiting production.

That increased bandwidth creates benefits throughout our organization.

Our recruiters can dedicate more of their time to candidates and clients. We can explore more possibilities for the positions we’re working to fill. And we can continue growing without assuming that every increase in activity needs to come from asking our people to simply work harder.

Instead, we’re giving them better tools.

Working With OpenAI

Our experience implementing artificial intelligence at DAVRON has also created an opportunity for us to contribute to a broader conversation about how businesses are using AI in the real world.

In September 2026, we announced DAVRON’s participation in OpenAI’s ChatGPT Business Research Partner Program.

Through the program, we’re able to share feedback and real-world use cases from our experience implementing AI throughout our business.

That’s particularly exciting for us because we’re not only using ChatGPT as a standalone tool. We’re actively exploring how artificial intelligence can become part of established business workflows across recruiting, candidate communication, software engineering, marketing, reporting, training, and organizational management.

The lessons we’re learning from that process can help us continue improving our own technology while also giving us an opportunity to contribute feedback about how businesses actually use AI.

Where We Go From Here

We’re still discovering what’s possible.

APEX can help us uncover candidates. Hermes can help us connect with them. OITrack can help our recruiters navigate processes, communications, candidate fit, and metrics.

And our internal software engineering team continues looking for new ways artificial intelligence can improve the way we work.

That sense of possibility is one of the reasons we’re so excited about where this technology is heading.

We’re embracing artificial intelligence at DAVRON because we’ve already seen what happens when we give talented people better tools.

They can accomplish more.

For us, that’s ultimately what our AI strategy is about: using technology to amplify human expertise, increase our recruiting capabilities, and create more opportunities to connect great people with great companies.

No matter how sophisticated our technology becomes, though, one thing isn’t changing.

There will always be a real person on the other side at DAVRON.
