A growing full-service signage manufacturer is seeking a Signage Shop Foreman in Des Plaines, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company with over 35 years in business, offering in-house design, fabrication, installation, service, permitting, surveys, painting, welding, graphics, and custom signage production under one roof.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Signage Shop Foreman position include:
- Signage industry experience preferred, with metal, architectural, or fabrication experience also considered.
- Oversee approximately 8 shop employees while coordinating between the shop, office, and management teams.
- Read CAD drawings, engineering drawings, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure work meets specifications.
- Use fabrication skills with stainless steel, aluminum, steel, acrylics, plastics, and other raw materials.
- Operate and understand shop machinery such as CNC routers, welders, brake presses, painting equipment, and related fabrication tools.
- Push projects through production, resolve product or personnel issues, and communicate when jobs are ready for delivery or installation.
- Give clear direction to coworkers, vendors, and clients while maintaining strong team relationships across departments.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols, company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical insurance with 75% of the employee cost paid by the employer, dental insurance with 25% of the cost paid by the employer, life and short-term disability with 50% paid by the employer, 5 days of holiday pay after 90 days, 5-6 days of accrued PTO available after 90 days, 1 week of vacation after 1 full year of consecutive service, flexible personal, vacation, and sick time, performance-based bonus potential, and a retirement program in the works.
