Step into a high-precision manufacturing environment in Hartland, WI where custom and standard carbide cutting tools are built for demanding industries. In this 5-Axis CNC Operator opportunity, you’ll help produce premium, tight-tolerance cutting tools using advanced 5-axis CNC tool grinding machines while maintaining consistent quality from setup through inspection.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this 5-Axis CNC Grinder Operator position include:
- Previous 5-Axis CNC Setup / Operator experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED; certification from a qualified machining training institution is ideal but not required.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints.
- Responsible for setup and offsets as required.
- Inspect tools for defects using quality control tools and evaluate finished product through visual inspection and measurement.
- Responsible for accurate programming and machine operation.
- Communicate quality issues to programmers and/or General Manager.
- Check machinery daily to ensure functionality; pull material for upcoming jobs.
Salary: $30-$40 per hour (commensurate with experience) plus bonus opportunity
Benefits: PTO starts around 80 hours with accrual-based availability starting Day 1 (usable after 90 days, with flexibility up to ~3 weeks for strong candidates), 401k with 100% match on first 3% and 50% match on next 2%, pre-tax and Roth IRA options, HSA with 100% match on employee contributions up to the IRS limit, medical insurance through United Health Group (HMR), dental and vision, voluntary life insurance, STD/LTD, bereavement leave, and an annual bonus up to 7% paid once per year based on targets.
