Bring your occupational safety expertise to a mission-driven team supporting federal clients across Washington, DC or Clarksburg, West Virginia—where your work helps strengthen workplace safety, compliance, and real-world outcomes. In this Occupational Safety Professional opportunity, you’ll deliver full-time onsite technical and programmatic support while partnering with a collaborative government program team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Occupational Safety Professional position include:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in occupational safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, engineering, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or a related scientific discipline, or a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, NFPA codes, and workplace safety principles.
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, proofreading, and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting government agencies or other large organizations with occupational safety and health programs.
- Assist in writing and implementing safety programs for respiratory protection, bloodborne pathogens, and personal protective equipment.
- Support workplace safety compliance with OSHA regulations, DOT requirements, NFPA codes, and other applicable consensus standards, including job hazard assessments and corrective action recommendations.
- Assist with OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping, data analysis, and reporting, and contribute to accident, incident, and near-miss investigations and root cause analysis.
- Top-secret clearance
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
