Description
A precision manufacturing company is seeking a Large CNC Lathe Machinist in Pocasset, MA to set up and operate large-capacity CNC lathe equipment producing high-quality machined parts in stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and plastics. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Large CNC Lathe Machinist position include:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathes.
- Ability to set up and run large-capacity CNC lathes up to 14” diameter and 36” length.
- CAM programming experience with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/CAM programs.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, math skills, technical skills, computer skills, and recordkeeping proficiency.
- Ability to use precision inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials while monitoring machine operations and making real-time adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while performing routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate with quality inspectors and supervisors to support process improvement, production deadlines, and quality output.
Salary: $28 - $36 per hour, commensurate with experience.
