Based in Raleigh, NC, this role supports international logistics that keeps shipments compliant, cost-effective, and on time. In this International Freight Specialist opportunity, you’ll help coordinate end-to-end freight operations across air, ocean, parcel, and truck shipments.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this International Freight Specialist position include:
- 5+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or export operations.
- Coordinate international shipments via air, ocean, truck, and parcel (UPS, FedEx, DHL).
- Plan and manage the shipment lifecycle from pickup through final delivery.
- Prepare and validate shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- File Electronic Export Information (EEI) in AES when required.
- Apply correct Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and support cost analysis.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs (CBP), EAR, and international trade regulations.
- Maintain accurate shipment data in ERP and TMS/carrier systems; track shipments and resolve delays or customs holds.
Salary: $60K–$80K per year, commensurate with experience.
