Bring your machining expertise to a dynamic job shop in Stockton, CA, where every day brings new challenges and precision-focused work. In this CNC Operator opportunity, you’ll support one-off, prototype, and short-run manufacturing across a range of industries with a collaborative, journeyman-level team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Operator position include:
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop, prototype, or R&D machining environment.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers to produce precision components.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM software for CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, dimensions, geometries, and tolerances (including GD&T).
- Plan machining sequences and determine efficient approaches for one-off and prototype parts (1 to 100+ pieces).
- Set up tooling, fixtures, workholding, and machining processes.
- Machine metals, plastics, and composites; understand material properties, heat treatment, and finishing operations.
- Use precision measuring and inspection equipment to verify finished parts and maintain quality standards.
