This Pipe Foreman opportunity puts you in a hands-on leadership role where safe work practices, quality installations, and daily production directly shape project success.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Pipe Foreman position include:
- Proven experience as a pipe foreman or crew leader on heavy civil and underground utility projects, with wet utility experience.
- Lead and coordinate operators, pipe layers, and laborers installing water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and related underground utilities.
- Read plans, profiles, specifications, and survey information; verify line, grade, elevations, pipe slopes, and installation requirements.
- Plan daily work, assign crew responsibilities, and coordinate equipment, materials, deliveries, and upcoming needs with the superintendent.
- Lead daily safety meetings and enforce excavation, trench protection, utility protection, lifting, and equipment safety requirements.
- Oversee excavation, bedding, pipe joining, structures, backfill, and compaction; coordinate testing and inspections and correct deficiencies.
- Track daily quantities, crew hours, equipment use, and delays; communicate field conflicts and changes promptly to project supervision.
- Working knowledge of pipe lasers, grade checking, trench protection systems, utility locating, and safe equipment operations.
Salary: $30 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience and the interview.
Benefits: UnitedHealthcare medical coverage, with the contact estimating eligibility after approximately 60 days; a 401(k) with a match; and PTO starting at one week, with potential flexibility.
