An exciting opportunity is available for a Commercial Laundry Equipment Service Technician in Fort Wayne, Indiana with a third-generation, family-owned company specializing in commercial laundry equipment sales, service, preventative maintenance, and installations across institutional and commercial facilities. This is a great opportunity for an independent field service technician who enjoys autonomy, portal-to-portal pay, factory training, and long-term stability with a growing team.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Laundry Equipment Service Technician position include:
- 5+ years of experience preferred in HVAC, appliance repair, industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or related field service work
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and related systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and occasional equipment installations for hospitals, nursing homes, correctional facilities, and institutional/commercial facilities
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to read diagrams and solve equipment issues independently
- Complete 1-4 service jobs per day using a mobile dispatch and invoicing application on a company-issued phone
- Travel throughout Indiana from a Indianapolis-based territory, with occasional overnight travel
- Communicate professionally with customers while delivering excellent field service
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required, with ability to pass background check and drug screening
Salary: $28-$42/hour, commensurate with experience.
