A high-precision manufacturer of custom and standard carbide cutting tools is seeking a CNC Tool Grinder/Programmer in Nashville, TN! This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, acquisition-backed tooling organization serving aerospace, automotive, medical, power generation, and high-volume production machining industries, with a specialized Nashville division known for solving complex machining challenges through custom-designed tools.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CNC Tool Grinder/Programmer position include:
- 5+ years of experience in CNC tool grinder programming with hands-on CNC machine setup, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
- Program, set up, and operate tool grinding machines to produce premium-quality carbide cutting tools according to specifications.
- Proficiency with Numroto, Rollomatic VGPro, Walter Tool Studio, and/or Anca ToolRoom software, with multiple platforms preferred.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to develop custom programs for specialty tooling.
- Create master programs for standard and modified standard endmills, as well as cutting tools within software capabilities.
- Set up, inspect, produce good first pieces, and run production on drills, keyway cutters, dovetail cutters, and reamers.
- Identify wheel wear on all wheel types, create wheel offsets, and perform general preventative maintenance on machines.
- Maintain strong accuracy, consistency, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention to detail in a production environment.
Salary: $30 - $40+ per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including PTO starting around 80 hours with flexibility up to approximately 3 weeks for strong candidates, accrual beginning on Day 1 and usable after 90 days, a 401k with 100% match on the first 3% and 50% on the next 2%, pre-tax and Roth IRA options, HSA with 100% match on employee contributions up to the IRS limit, medical insurance through United Health Group/HMR, dental and vision insurance, voluntary life insurance, STD/LTD, bereavement leave, and an annual bonus up to 7% paid once per year based on targets.
