Here is a list of the top 10 job posting sites for employers in 2021.

Indeed is usually the first place people go when looking for a free resource to post and search for jobs. Its popularity makes it a valuable resource with a variety of job postings and job seeker profiles. Indeed contains employer-posted jobs as well as aggregating postings from it’s advertising partners across the web, allowing you to search locally or globally. The site claims to host more than 150 million resumes and add 10 new jobs every second. Indeed offers free organic job postings, options to sponsor jobs to keep your listing at the top, and a pay-per-click service that charges you whenever a candidate clicks on your job.

Monster is the first public job search site, which shows in its massive collection of job postings and available resumes; 29 resumes are uploaded and 7,900 job search queries are entered every minute! They offer an extensive resume database, networking boards, company profiles, and a mobile app in more than 40 countries. Although Monster only has a 7-day free trial, they do have a variety of payment plan options that include a huge and easy to use resume database and a detailed job posting system to ensure your jobs are being seen by the right people.

LinkedIn is one of the most well know networking tools for businesses and professionals across the world. Their network consists of professionals from 130 different industries and includes over 100,000 recruiters. It can be used for free by simply searching for candidates and getting in touch with them yourself or you can use their paid service, LinkedIn Recruiter, which allows employers and recruiters to target and communicate with candidates that match their qualifications. 

ZipRecruiter is a great tool to reach multiple platforms. When you post a job it is automatically sent to over 100 top job sites, including Indeed, Monster, Craigslist, and SimplyHired. They have a variety of tools for employers including pre-screening questions, ways to manage applicants, and a mobile app for viewing applicants. ZipRecruiter offers a 4-day free trial and then customizable plans based on your hiring needs, including sending out daily emails to job seekers containing relevant job posts, access to their database of over 25 million resumes, and more.

Glassdoor is not only a job posting site, it is quickly becoming the “Yelp of Job Seeking” created to provide salary transparency and honest company reviews. It is a great tool for companies to market their business and job postings, while also allowing employees to rate the quality of employment at said company. Glassdoor has over 1 million employers, 60 million company reviews, and 10 million job posts. Like many other job boards Glassdoor offers a free plan as well as paid options if you need additional features.

CareerBuilder is one of the biggest and longest-lived job boards, having been online for more than 20 years. Their goal is to combine advertising, software, and services to help companies find, hire, and manage talent. It offers monthly subscription plans to aid in candidate searches with targeted recruitment emails, candidate management tools, and more. It also has a mobile app making it easier for job seekers to apply and increasing your job ad response rate.

Specialized Job Boards:

Handshake is one of the best sites for connecting with students and recent alumni across the US and UK. Their site contains over 7 million active student users, over 1,000 college and university partners, and over 500,000 employers. It has a standard free option as well as a premium partnership for enhanced employer branding, analytics, and additional sourcing capabilities.  

Called the “the home of $100k careers”, Ladders focuses on employers seeking executive or director-level candidates for positions that pay at least $100,000 per year. This site allows employers to narrow their search and weed out job seekers lacking the required experience or credentials. Ladders offers a free option with 10 job posts, 10 resumes views, and 10 emails per month or you can choose from one of their monthly or yearly subscription plans for additional features.

AngelList markets themselves as the “world’s largest startup community” with over 8 million users, they seek to power hiring for over 100,000 companies from pre-seed to post-IPO. They offer both a free option or “startup friendly pricing” if additional services are needed. AngelList mainly focuses on the tech/startup world with employers being able to search for candidates that are qualified and interested in the type of opportunity they are offering. The site also offers assessments and testing modules to let candidates prove their talents and allow companies to build a team based on ability not just what’s on a resume.
