Step into a hands-on manufacturing role where precision, quality, and continuous improvement come together every day. Soldering Technician is an exciting opportunity to support the full build process—from SMT/PCBA soldering through final test and certification—while partnering closely with engineering to help strengthen product design. This role is based in Stoughton, MA, bringing your expertise to critical instrumentation and monitoring work across highly regulated industries.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Soldering Technician position include:
- 3+ years of production assembly experience, including hand soldering and SMD rework
- Rework/assemble SMT/PCBA assemblies to meet design requirements
- Rework/assemble small cable assemblies to meet design requirements
- Identify and fix soldering defects on PTH/SMD parts (open solder, disturbed solder, bridging, excess/insufficient solder, poor wetting, fractured joints, etc.)
- Remove and fix solder interconnects using hot air tools and soldering irons
- Perform quality work checks using established procedures, meeting IPC-610 inspection criteria
- Follow detailed process travelers and document relevant production test data
- Read and understand instructions written in English; contribute to process improvements and interface with engineering on more difficult issues
Salary: From $23.00 per hour.
