Heat Treat Operator - Lead offers the chance to lead batch furnace operations on 2nd or 3rd shift while helping drive consistent production and strong product quality.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heat Treat Lead Operator position include:
- 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred in heat treating operations, including batch furnace work and endothermic gas processes
- Knowledge of IQ batch furnace operation required
- Ability to safely operate batch furnaces and supervise a crew of two while maintaining quality during load building and documentation
- Follow established procedures to ensure finished parts meet specifications
- Conduct tests and monitor equipment to ensure parts meet requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and uphold safety standards in a safety-sensitive position
- Willingness to learn and work in other departments as needed and to move the lineup around the department when jobs are not ready
- MTI Training a plus; ability to finish MTI Level II Operator Training
Salary: $28–32 per hour, commensurate with experience.
