Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a MEP Electrical Engineering Manager in Miami, FL with a full-service consulting engineering firm delivering commercial, institutional, industrial, municipal, residential, utility, renewable energy, and infrastructure-related projects. This is an exceptional leadership opportunity for an experienced Electrical PE to guide a growing engineering discipline, oversee high-quality building systems design from planning through construction support, and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and CADD/BIM staff.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this MEP Electrical Engineering Manager position include:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university
- Electrical Professional Engineer license required or strongly preferred, with Florida PE preferred
- 8-10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, preferably in an MEP consulting environment
- Experience managing electrical engineers, designers, CADD/BIM technicians, production workflows, staffing, schedules, and technical reviews
- Strong design experience with power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power, generators, UPS systems, grounding, fire alarm, low voltage, communications, access control, security, renewable energy, and building automation interfaces
- Ability to serve as Engineer of Record with signing and sealing responsibilities for released construction documents
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/CADD/BIM workflows, lighting calculation software, electrical analysis software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
- Lead electrical design from planning through permitting, bid documentation, IFC issuance, construction administration, commissioning support, and project closeout
Salary: $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
