Bring your residential HVAC expertise to a busy, growing service team serving the Galveston to Houston area with strong training, a clear career path, and real opportunities to increase your earnings through maintenance contract spiffs and sales referrals. In this HVAC Service Technician role, you’ll troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment while working with a company that invests in both factory and in-house development.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Service Technician position include:
- 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience is a plus.
- Provide strong service and troubleshooting fundamentals; commercial exposure can be trained.
- Read wiring diagrams and blueprints, troubleshoot a wide range of equipment, and make repair or replacement decisions.
- Handle basic sheet metal work and air balancing.
- Be familiar with main brands including American Standard and Trane.
- Maintain required EPA certification; NATE preferred or must obtain after hire (within first 3 months; company pays first test attempt).
- Support a normal service territory running from Galveston to Houston, with dispatch from home or reporting to the shop case by case.
- Work a schedule of 8am–5pm Monday–Friday, with weekends, evenings, overtime, and on-call as needed (currently about every 3 weeks, possibly every other weekend depending on staffing).
Salary: $15 - $25 per hour based on qualifications.
