Description
Work on high-impact structural projects across the U.S. while joining a collaborative, employee-owned engineering firm based in Columbus with a flexible hybrid schedule. Structural Engineer (PE or EIT Nearing PE) offers the chance to design a wide variety of commercial and building structures, with straight-time overtime, strong career growth, and support for professional development.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer position include:
- 3+ years of structural engineering experience (or recent PE / EIT preparing for PE)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; will consider EIT candidates actively pursuing PE licensure
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, and structural reports using applicable codes and engineering principles
- Develop engineer studies and schematic designs
- Coordinate with engineers, CAD technicians, clients, project managers, and other disciplines to deliver complete and accurate project outputs
- Review and check design drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance using established QA/QC procedures
- Use structural analysis and modeling tools such as RAM Structural System, RISA, ETABS, and InterCalc (familiarity with one or more is preferred)
- Actively pursue professional development opportunities and maintain required PDH for PE licensure
Salary: $75,000–$150,000+ per year, commensurate with experience.
