This HVAC Commercial Service Technician (Level 3–4) role in Newark, CA offers the opportunity to work on specialized rental HVAC systems that support hospitals, data centers, and other high-priority environments while becoming part of a tight-knit, highly respected service team known for technical excellence and rapid mobilization.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this HVAC Commercial Service Technician position include:
- 7–10+ years of commercial HVAC service experience; diagnose and repair complex HVAC rental systems in the field
- Strong troubleshooting skills with large mechanical equipment; service chillers, cooling towers, boilers, heat pumps, and air handling systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; perform electrical diagnostics using meters and testing equipment
- Experience with commercial HVAC controls and mechanical systems; maintain and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers and related equipment
- EPA Universal Certification preferred and HVAC trade school training preferred; perform scheduled maintenance and system start-ups
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening; travel to service sites using a company-provided service vehicle
- Strong communication and leadership skills; assist with internal technician training and mentorship programs
- Ability to support emergency service calls and participate in an on-call rotation; respond to urgent service needs at hospitals and data centers
Salary: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
