A progressive architectural firm with a strong reputation in architecture, engineering, and planning is seeking a Senior Project Architect in Newark, NJ! This is an exciting associate-level opportunity for a design-focused project leader to join a small, established office working on larger multifamily, mixed-use, and public projects, with long-term potential for future partnership and ownership.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Project Architect position include:
- 10-15 years of architectural experience with a strong background in design and project management.
- Manage projects from beginning through completion while balancing production, coordination, and leadership responsibilities.
- Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, and/or public projects, with willingness to learn multifamily work if coming from a public project background.
- Work directly with clients, consultant teams, and internal staff while representing the firm professionally.
- Licensed Architect preferred, with associate-level experience and a long-term leadership mindset.
- Strong AutoCAD skills required, with some Revit exposure preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a small-office environment and complement existing senior staff.
- Knowledge of NJ public contract law is a plus for candidates with public work experience.
Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including health insurance with 70% covered, dental and vision insurance, a 401k plan with no company contribution, a separate profit-sharing retirement plan, year-end bonus/profit sharing, approximately 15 days of PTO, and standard holidays.
