Join a nationally ranked, affordable housing-focused investment and management organization as the Director of Construction & Infrastructure in Crofton, MD, where you will have the opportunity to build and lead a brand-new division overseeing critical capital and infrastructure improvements across a growing national portfolio. This is an exciting leadership role for a hands-on project management professional who wants to shape processes, drive major wet utility and site rehabilitation projects, and make a lasting impact across manufactured housing communities in nearly 20 states.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director of Construction & Infrastructure position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of experience managing site development and/or civil infrastructure projects
- Proven experience with residential community infrastructure projects; manufactured housing experience is a plus
- Strong technical knowledge of wet utilities, waterline replacements, drainage, grading, stormwater, and horizontal construction
- Lead planning, budgeting, bidding, contractor selection, and execution of major capital infrastructure projects across a national portfolio
- Review civil and environmental designs, coordinate with engineers, vendors, and local jurisdictions, and oversee permitting and utility-related activities
- Create SOPs, KPIs, practices, and procedures for a new capital projects division while managing internal SMEs and third-party partners
- Travel 10% to 20% nationally to inspect sites, monitor project progress, and ensure quality, safety, schedule, and budget compliance
Salary: $180,000 - $190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
