Qualifications and responsibilities for this Head of Operations (HVAC) position include:
- Active Massachusetts Refrigeration Contractor License required; oversee all HVAC/R field operations including service, installation, maintenance, and emergency response.
- 7–10+ years of HVAC/R experience with strong commercial refrigeration background; provide technical leadership and guidance to field teams.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams or operations; lead, mentor, and develop technicians, supervisors, and project managers.
- Strong knowledge of Massachusetts mechanical and refrigeration codes; ensure full compliance with state regulations and safety standards.
- Operational management and scheduling expertise; manage dispatching, workflow optimization, and resource allocation for efficiency and profitability.
- Business and strategic planning skills; collaborate with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and operational strategy.
- Vendor and inventory management experience; oversee procurement, equipment sourcing, and supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities; support sales/estimating teams and maintain high customer satisfaction across projects.
Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
