Introduction
Our returning client requested our firm to locate a qualified Project Manager to join their team towards the end of May. For this opportunity, we were working directly with the Owner of the firm and he felt assured that since we had previously located him a productive employee DAVRON could also assist him in filling this position. By June 7th we were able to locate a talented prospect for their opening.
DAVRON Solution: Locating a qualified Project Manager
This well-established Mechanical Contractor had proven difficulty locating talent in their area of Long Island, New York. With our proven search methods, we located a talented estimator with project management experience currently working for a local Mechanical Servicing firm. Our candidate just happened to be seeking the opportunity to tackle a Project Manager position to evolve in his career.
After the initial phone interview with our candidate our client was on board to bring him in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview went very well and at that point our client knew he wanted this candidate to assist him in the growth of his firm. For the next 3 months, they would talk back and forth, working out the details of the opportunity.
Due to scheduled vacations, schedules, and deadlines on both ends it seemed the opportunity to secure this candidate was slipping at times. We kept connected and assisted along the way to ensure communication was on point. There was actually an office move during this process which also delayed an offer from being presented.
Summary
On August 15th, an offer was made to our candidate. After some brief negotiating we secured the candidate for our client on August 22nd with a start date of September 25th. Our client was willing to allow an elongated start date which allowed the candidate proper time to resign from his current firm.
We stayed persistent and on top of all communication to assist our client and candidate throughout the hiring process.
