This Senior Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity brings the chance to own new equipment concepts and develop mechanical systems with linear motion and robotics, from concept to fabrication-ready design.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Mechanical Design Engineer position include:
- 2–4 years of consistent, strong SolidWorks mechanical design experience.
- Strong, recent, repeated use of SolidWorks to produce detailed, accurate mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings.
- Machine design experience building precision mechanical equipment, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, or similar systems.
- Solid understanding of dimensional tolerances, fit, and how they affect equipment function, including critical tolerances around 0.0005 inch.
- Ability to take a mechanical design from initial concept through fabrication, assembly, and a functioning finished product.
- Experience designing mechanisms involving linear motion, precision motors, or robotics.
- Comfort working on-site in a small engineering team, balancing detailed design work with learning unfamiliar equipment.
- U.S. citizenship required; candidates should be able to work 5 days per week on-site (typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.).
Salary: $80,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
