Make your mark at a growing manufacturing facility in Orlando with a steady stream of capital improvement projects and real ownership over plant, equipment, and compliance. This Plant Engineer / Engineering & Facilities Manager opportunity supports a 25-year-old plant expanding capacity and upgrading both manufacturing systems and facility infrastructure.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Plant Engineer / Engineering & Facilities Manager position include:
- 5+ years of relevant plant engineering, manufacturing equipment, maintenance engineering, or closely related experience (less may be considered with strong background).
- Lead capital projects for new machinery, equipment installations, and production capacity expansion.
- Coordinate major servicing of aging equipment and establish routine preventive maintenance schedules.
- Manage equipment vendors and contractors, including sourcing, scheduling, and overseeing work.
- Coordinate equipment placement and installation within the existing building.
- Oversee facility maintenance and building systems, including fire protection inspections.
- Coordinate environmental compliance, required reporting, and related service providers.
- Supervise one maintenance employee and report to the Director of Operations (budget responsibilities may develop over time).
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Medical coverage is expected to cover about 75% of employee premiums (with some dependent coverage to confirm), along with dental and life insurance; a 401(k) with a 3% employer contribution; vacation of approximately 10–15 days, 10 paid holidays, and personal time starting at 24 hours and increasing to 40 after the first year.
