Description
Bring your engineering ideas to life in a hands-on R&D environment south of Cincinnati, with direct involvement in product development, testing, and continuous improvement. This R&D Engineer / Product Development Engineer opportunity is based on-site in Erlanger, KY and supports new electromechanical welding and automation projects from concept through initial testing.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this R&D Engineer / Product Development Engineer position include:
- 1-5 years of engineering experience (recent college graduates will be considered)
- Engineering degree required; welding, mechanical, or electrical engineering backgrounds fit
- CAD experience required; Inventor preferred, but any 2D or 3D CAD software is acceptable
- Support new product development from concept through assembly and initial testing
- Create and modify CAD designs for product development and engineering support
- Perform material testing and hands-on lab work (approximately 50% lab / 50% desk)
- Assist with electromechanical systems including PLC programming, robotics, pneumatic valves, and weld-control applications
- Support development of resistance welding guns, turbo actuators, pins, and related components, with some customer support as needed
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
