Description
A high-reliability precision manufacturing company in Burbank, CA is seeking a night shift Quality Inspector to support its site Quality Team in a hands-on inspection role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing, low-turnover machine shop specializing in glass-to-metal hermetic seals, connectors, and mission-critical precision components for aerospace, defense, space, medical, and energy applications.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Quality Inspector position include:
- 2+ years of experience inspecting mechanical components
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of first articles, components, assemblies, receiving inspection, machine center, and production assembly work
- Use standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM, VMM, and optical systems
- Read and interpret GD&T, military specifications, and industry standards
- Verify products and certification packages against requirements and communicate inspection findings
- Maintain accurate, neat, and complete inspection records while keeping the work area organized and safe
- Work with operators on the floor to check parts, ensure tools are calibrated, and support quality goals
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder due to ITAR regulations and able to pass background and drug screening
Salary: $23 - $28 per hour, commensurate with experience.
