This Mechanical Designer opportunity in Canton, OH 44706 offers hands-on work with shop personnel, customer approval drawings, and the chance to support order-built 15kV switchgear systems.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Mechanical Designer position include:
- 4 years drafting experience, including sheet metal fabrication; 2+ years switchgear design and CAD
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent work experience
- CAD required
- Develop customer approval drawings, BOMs, and quote drawings
- Support purchase part requisitions and related documentation
- Collaborate with the engineering team in a training and mentoring environment
- Make occasional field measurement trips
- Work closely with shop personnel to ensure build-ready designs
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year, paid overtime; $2K sign-on bonus.
