Build your future with a mission-driven building technology team creating sustainable, high-impact homes from a purpose-built automated facility in California. In this PBS Manufacturing/CAD Engineer opportunity, you’ll help drive virtual fabrication, design-for-manufacture, and production efficiency for LEED Platinum/Gold projects—while supporting occasional visits to the Tejon Ranch facility.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this PBS Manufacturing/CAD Engineer position include:
- 4+ years of building design experience across various structure types, plus 3+ years of 3D modeling (preferably business or residential structures using CadWork).
- Experience creating coordination plans, detailed shop drawings, and installation manuals with a strong understanding of aligning design intent to on-site execution.
- Modular/panelized construction experience required; automated fabrication, facility layout, production workflow, heavy timber, and mass timber are pluses.
- Seamlessly integrate Revit files and PDF plans to CAD and CAM data as required.
- Create fully executable BOMs for material ordering and project costing, cut lists for material optimization, and construction drawings for production.
- Create and maintain detailed standard operating procedures for CAD processes to achieve production efficiencies and drive productivity.
- Develop virtual build process initiatives to manage projects from design-for-manufacture through virtual fabrication and implementation into the production system.
- Create detailed quality control protocols for the virtual build process, including tests and quality assurance checks to verify information output.
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
