Build your future with a full-time, primarily office-based survey career in Tampa, FL—working on boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and multi-site commercial projects that directly support real-world development. In this Licensure-Track Florida Surveyor Intern (SIT/LSIT) opportunity, you’ll follow a clear licensure path while contributing to drafting and field-to-finish workflows under the guidance of current Survey Management and a Florida PSM.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Licensure-Track Florida Surveyor Intern (SIT/LSIT) position include:
- Current Florida SIT certification with a verifiable path to PSM licensure within approx. 12 months
- Must have passed FS; PS exam passed is strongly preferred
- Must be able to identify prior supervising PSMs who can verify relevant experience
- Work under current Survey Manager/Florida PSM with an intended path toward licensure and future responsible-charge duties
- Produce survey drafting work for boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, elevation certificates, as-built, construction-related, and multi-site commercial survey work
- Support field-to-finish workflow, including production drafting and coordination of field verification as needed
- Use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or comparable survey drafting software (strongly preferred)
- Occasional site visits or field verification as needed
Salary: $60,000 - $78,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be reevaluated upon active Florida PSM licensure.
Benefits: Paid holidays after 90 days; PTO after 6 months; company-paid required CE, future Florida PSM license renewal, and approved professional memberships. No current medical, dental, vision, or retirement benefits.
