Qualifications and responsibilities for this Journeyman Master Mason position include:
- 8–15+ years of hands-on masonry experience
- Strong expertise in natural stone, brick, and block systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Read basic plans and follow layout direction from the foreman
- Execute high-end masonry work including fireplaces, chimneys, outdoor kitchens, and patios
- Maintain clean lines, proper joints, and consistent finish quality
- Support crew efficiency and help guide less experienced masons and laborers
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and professional at all times
Compensation: $30 - $40 per hour, commensurate with experience, with overtime paid at time-and-a-half (1.5x) for hours worked over 40 per week with prior approval required.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including quarterly profit-sharing based on net profits for employees who work 1,850 hours per year, with bonus percentages varying based on experience and seniority; an optional SIMPLE IRA with employer setup assistance available after 1 year of employment and up to a 3% employer match of gross annual compensation; 6 paid holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; 80 hours of paid vacation annually for full-time employees who work 1,850 hours per year, available after 90 days and prorated for mid-year start dates, with 40 hours available from January through June and 40 hours from July through December; competitive hourly pay, performance incentives based on production and quality, consistent year-round work, and advancement opportunities with a path to Foreman.
