In this Head of Electronics Engineering opportunity, you’ll lead electronics engineering in a fast-moving, in-office environment in San Diego, CA, helping scale reliable hardware programs that matter to defense, science, and commercial customers.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Head of Electronics Engineering position include:
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing engineers, including hiring, performance management, and career growth
- Directly manage the electronics engineering team, including goal-setting, onboarding, and career development
- Own delivery and outcomes for all electronics programs, including schedules, scope, and cross-team coordination
- Set technical direction and engineering standards in partnership with senior engineers
- Prioritize work across multiple concurrent projects and ensure resources align with company goals
- Lead design reviews and readiness reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and manufacturability
- Identify technical, schedule, and organizational risks early and drive mitigation plans
- Partner with production and QA to ensure smooth transitions from development to manufacturing
Salary: $170,000 - $230,000 / yr + stock options, 401k matching, and other benefits.
