Build your future with a leading NYC expediting and special inspections provider that helps projects move efficiently through complex building code and DOB approval processes. In this Director of Special Inspections opportunity, you’ll help lead high-impact special inspections strategies across challenging New York City projects with direct influence on quality, compliance, and regulatory outcomes.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Director Of Special Inspections position include:
- 8+ years of NYC construction, inspections, or expediting experience
- Leadership experience and high-level NYC DOB interaction preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture; active NYS PE or RA license required
- Expertise in NYC Building Code, Chapter 17 Special Inspections, and DOB procedures
- Working knowledge of NYC Mechanical Code and ASHRAE standards
- Engineering experience across HVAC, plumbing, cross-connection, and wet/dry sprinklers, including standpipes
- Ability to support design calculations, load calculations, and hydraulic calculations
- Co-lead firmwide Special Inspections operations, oversee quality control and complex inspection strategies, manage regulatory risk, and mentor staff
Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
