Bring your structural engineering expertise to Florida and help shape a technology-forward Private Provider Inspection (PPI) division with a fast-growing, high-retention national permitting and compliance team. This Senior Qualifying Professional Engineer (Structural) opportunity is based in Broward County, Florida, with remote work plus potential site inspections for hands-on impact.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Qualifying Professional Engineer (Structural) position include:
- 7+ years post-licensure structural engineering or building code compliance experience; 3+ years with Florida Building Code (residential/commercial)
- Active Florida PE license in good standing; engineering degree required
- Residential structural/PPI experience strongly preferred; building department experience a plus
- Lead residential window and door plan reviews and inspections
- Serve as a player-coach combining executive strategy with hands-on technical work
- Advise software developers on a proprietary digital platform
- Support process design with strong interest in technology and continuous improvement
- Provide team leadership and help guide the growth of the new PPI division
Salary: $145,000 - $165,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: 3 weeks PTO, 7 paid holidays after 90 days, 401(k) after 6 months with 3% company contribution, profit sharing, and full E&O coverage; no medical/dental/vision. Vehicle allowance is also provided for potential Florida site inspections.
