This Civil Engineer, PE opportunity is based in Fort Myers, FL, where you’ll play a key leadership role overseeing roadway, subdivision, and stormwater projects funded by federal, state, and local agencies. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Civil Engineer, PE position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in land surveying or civil engineering, preferably within the public sector
- Oversee design firms responsible for roadway, subdivision, and stormwater infrastructure projects
- Manage municipal projects including road widening, subdivision development, and public works improvements
- Provide project management oversight and coordinate with internal teams, estimators, and project managers
- Interface with municipal clients and help guide presentations and project planning initiatives
- Lead and mentor engineering staff while ensuring project quality, timelines, and compliance with public funding requirements
Salary: $150,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance 100% paid for the employee, life insurance, negotiable PTO starting with one week and increasing to two weeks after the first year, annual bonus potential of $10,000–$20,000, vehicle allowance, and potential relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.
