Step into a hands-on CAD and reverse engineering opportunity in the Cornville, AZ area, supporting field service work for heavy mining equipment fabrication. This CAD Technician role blends Autodesk Inventor modeling with scanning and design support, giving you a clear path to grow into a hybrid CAD/scanning specialist.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this CAD Designer position include:
- Entry-level to experienced candidates welcome; mechanical aptitude is required.
- Experience with CAD classes, trade school, engineering coursework, or CAD experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required; interest in reverse engineering, scanning, fabrication, and heavy equipment.
- Comfortable working around shop, field, and industrial environments.
- Create and modify CAD models using Autodesk Inventor.
- Assist with reverse engineering and field scanning of existing equipment.
- Support design and fabrication of mining equipment and related components (including conveyors, crushing equipment, diverter gates).
- Convert scanned or field-measured data into usable models and drawings; produce or assist with fabrication and shop drawings.
Salary: $30 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
