This Assistant Town Engineer opportunity offers a clear path for long-term growth within the Public Works engineering team, working on critical water, sewer, stormwater, and public works initiatives.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Assistant Town Engineer position include:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the design of and/or construction of public works projects
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Massachusetts Professional Engineer (PE) or Massachusetts Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required; candidates with an EIT may be considered
- Review project plans and specifications
- Prepare bid documents for competitive bidding
- Develop engineering estimates
- Oversee and coordinate public works projects
- Work with consultants and review technical designs; communicate technical requirements and project needs
Salary: $86,292 - $112,375 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: 2 weeks vacation to start with possible flexibility to 3 weeks; 6 personal days; 10 hours sick time earned monthly; health insurance with town contribution; clothing reimbursement available.
