Bring your estimating expertise to a respected, 40-year local builder based in Marshfield, where your work directly shapes competitive bids for high-impact commercial outdoor projects. In this Commercial Landscape Project Estimator opportunity, you’ll own the bid process for projects in the $500k-$2M range while collaborating closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal leadership to deliver accurate, competitive estimates.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Commercial Landscape Project Estimator position include:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction; 10+ years preferred, with a GC-style estimating background.
- Prepare estimates and bids for commercial landscaping, athletic field, playground, and outdoor commercial construction projects.
- Review plans, scopes, specifications, and bid requirements to develop complete project estimates.
- Estimate related work including flatwork, site development, dugouts, batting cages/tunnels, grading, irrigation, and other outdoor construction scopes.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on specialty scopes, including high-tension netting and other outsourced work.
- Use Bluebeam, LMN, and RSMeans (as a resource) to support takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation.
- Attend occasional bid openings or pre-bid meetings as needed (minimal travel, primarily within about an hour).
- Support limited business development activity, estimated at around 10% of the role; offshore takeoff support may be coordinated as needed.
Salary: $100k-$130k with some bonus potential per year, commensurate with experience.
