In this Heavy Civil Concrete Estimator opportunity, you’ll bridge discovery and final cost analysis, helping ensure every component is quantified accurately and bid-ready.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Heavy Civil Concrete Estimator position include:
- 2-5 years of experience in construction administration or junior estimating.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience in heavy civil, geotechnical, or industrial construction.
- Basic proficiency in file management systems and exposure to PDF markup software (Bluebeam) and Excel.
- Ability to identify red flags in geotechnical reports and site constraints that affect production.
- Technical literacy to identify different components of a construction set (shoring, geotechnical, civil, structural).
- Willingness to train and oversee Level 1 Estimators on discovery techniques and technical document interpretation.
- Utilize discovery documents to perform comprehensive digital takeoffs and manage up to 4 active takeoffs simultaneously.
- Draft and compile the initial project proposal, coordinate vendor quotes, and support cost/labor analysis.
Salary: $80K-$100K base, plus quarterly bonus program targeting 15% of salary.
