Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a MEP Mechanical Engineering Manager in Miami, FL with a full-service consulting engineering firm supporting commercial, institutional, industrial, municipal, residential, utility, infrastructure, and high-rise building services projects. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Mechanical PE to lead HVAC and plumbing design, mentor a team of engineers and designers, oversee projects through 100% IFC and signed-and-sealed permit sets, and play a key role in upcoming fall projects.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this MEP Mechanical Engineering Manager position include:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university
- Mechanical Professional Engineer license required or strongly preferred, with Florida PE preferred
- 8-10+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience, preferably in an MEP consulting environment
- Experience managing mechanical engineers, designers, CADD/BIM technicians, production workflows, schedules, technical reviews, and project budgets
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, ventilation, humidity control, energy efficiency, controls coordination, equipment selection, and construction documentation
- Ability to serve as Engineer of Record with signing and sealing responsibilities for HVAC and plumbing projects
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, CADD/BIM workflows, load calculation software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
- Lead mechanical design from planning through permitting, bid documentation, IFC issuance, construction administration, commissioning support, and project closeout
Salary: $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
