Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a Controller in Kyle, TX with an established civil construction contractor located just south of Austin and north of San Antonio. This self-performing company has over 12 years of success, a strong backlog of TxDOT work, and a major growth goal.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Controller position include:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of civil construction industry experience required
- Minimum 3 years of Controller experience required
- Experience with self-performing civil construction, heavy civil, infrastructure, or TxDOT-related contractors strongly preferred
- Spectrum by Viewpoint experience preferred; comparable construction accounting software experience may be considered
- Oversee accounting operations for a growing construction company with approximately 120 employees
- Manage 3 direct reports, including an Assistant Controller, Job Cost Accountant, and additional accounting staff member
- Support financial reporting, job costing, construction accounting, internal controls, and upper management decision-making
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including medical insurance with the company contributing 50% of employee health insurance costs, 401(k) with employee contributions up to 6% and a company match of 50% up to a maximum company contribution of 3%, and 10 PTO days annually.
