A well-established surveying and engineering firm with 35 years in business is seeking a Survey CAD Technician for an opportunity in Phoenix, Arizona, with remote flexibility considered for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to support construction-related survey production, COGO calculations, staking plans, and high-quality CAD deliverables for a company that values accuracy, clean files, production excellence, and long-term team growth.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Survey CAD Technician position include:
- Prepare and finalize CAD drawings, survey deliverables, exhibits, plats, point files, surfaces, and project documents.
- Perform COGO calculations and construction-related calculations from construction drawings and staking plans.
- Support ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction staking, right-of-way surveys, utility surveys, as-builts, and legal description exhibits.
- Use Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Recap, Carlson when applicable, GIS data sources, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Convert field data into accurate 2D/3D CAD deliverables using field-to-finish workflows.
- Review drawings, labels, layers, title blocks, scales, dimensions, point files, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering, CAD, geography, or related field preferred.
- 5–7 years of relevant survey and/or CAD experience in land development or land surveying required, with Surveyor-in-Training certification preferred.
Salary: $25 - $30 per hour, commensurate with experience.
