A highly reputable multi-disciplined engineering, environmental, and land surveying firm is seeking a Senior Survey CADD Technician in Hampton, NJ, with remote flexibility and only 1-2 office visits per month. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing transportation-focused team working on large, high-accuracy infrastructure projects across NJ, PA, and NY, while stepping into a highly valued leadership role with strong career growth potential.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Survey CADD Technician position include:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Senior Survey CADD Drafter, Survey Technician, CAD Technician, or related surveying professional.
- Process topographic survey field data, generate DTMs/surfaces, and prepare topographic survey plans from start to finish.
- Perform deed and easement research, property mosaic preparation, boundary surveys, boundary analysis, and plan development.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads; experience with TopoDOT, Trimble Business Center, and Starnet is a plus.
- Apply coordinate geometry, trigonometry, and applicable DOT standards to large-scale, high-accuracy transportation projects.
- Support NJDOT and/or PennDOT-related projects, including ROW plans, property plans, and survey data processing.
- Lead, mentor, direct, and review the work of junior CAD technicians while helping manage workflow and project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with drafters and project teams while working remotely with occasional in-office meetings.
Salary: $40 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a full benefits package offered at very low cost to employees, 401(k) plan, 15 days of PTO accrued starting day one, holiday shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s with a mix of paid holidays and PTO, the option to work instead of using PTO during the shutdown, PTO carryover up to 200 hours annually, and the ability for PTO over 200 hours to either be carried over or cashed out.
