Description
A leading multi-disciplined engineering, environmental, and land surveying firm is seeking a Senior Right of Way Technician/Group Leader in Hampton, NJ, with remote or hybrid flexibility requiring only 1-2 office visits per month. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Right of Way Technician/Group Leader position include:
- Minimum of 10 years of surveying, ROW, land survey technician, or related transportation experience preferred; candidates with less experience may also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of NJDOT and/or PennDOT standards, ROW plans, plats, transportation plan development, and baseline analysis.
- Perform deed and easement research and plotting, property deed mosaics, boundary surveys, title report review, and legal descriptions.
- Develop property plats, right-of-way plans, and transportation ROW plans while reviewing and integrating topographic data.
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads for survey and ROW plan preparation.
- Apply coordinate geometry, trigonometry, boundary analysis, and railroad right-of-way analysis on large-scale, high-accuracy projects.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, workflow coordination, and project support for junior technicians.
- Communicate effectively with team members while managing deadlines in a remote, hybrid, or office-based environment.
Salary: $40 - $50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including a full benefits package offered at very low cost to employees, 401(k) plan, 15 days of PTO accrued starting day one, holiday shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s with a mix of paid holidays and PTO, the option to work instead of using PTO during shutdown, PTO carryover up to 200 hours annually, and the ability for excess PTO over 200 hours to be carried over or cashed out.
