Join a rapidly expanding, well-established land surveying firm as an Assistant Project Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where you will have the chance to grow with a company built by land surveyors, for land surveyors. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Assistant Project Manager position include:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the surveying field and 2-3 years of leadership or management experience; assist in the training and management of survey field crews, CAD Drafters, Survey Technicians, and support staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; provide overall daily management of project workflow, staffing, and deadlines under the supervision of a Project Manager.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry standard software; perform boundary analysis and computations for ALTA, topographic, utility, and roadway surveys.
- Strong communication, diplomacy, and listening skills; communicate effectively across all teams, business units, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multitask; support financial management tasks including contract preparation, billing reports, invoices, and collections.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and complex documents; perform quality control of survey documents including plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, and title commitment reviews.
- Strong client-facing and relationship-building abilities; assist with client meetings, conference calls, coordination, and business development efforts.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills; support construction stakeout services, field setup, and quality control for construction stakeout projects.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
