Qualifications and responsibilities for this Surface And Cylindrical Grinder position include:
- 1-2+ years of hands-on grinding experience required.
- Experience setting up and operating surface and/or cylindrical grinding machines.
- Experience dressing and truing grinding wheels for optimal cut quality.
- Ability to hold tight tolerances on hardened and difficult-to-machine materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents; working knowledge of GD&T strongly preferred.
- Proficiency using micrometers, indicators, surface comparators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to dimensional and surface-finish requirements; make machine adjustments based on inspection results.
- Maintain grinding equipment and ensure coolant systems function properly while following quality and safety procedures.
Salary: $27-$31 per hour, plus shift differential pay.
