Take the next step with a fast-growing precision manufacturing team in Bethel, CT, where high-volume CNC production and strong quality standards directly impact what ships to customers. In this In-Process Quality Inspector opportunity, you’ll help ensure parts meet blueprint requirements, tolerances, and in-process expectations across day and night shifts.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this In-Process Quality Inspector position include:
- Manufacturing quality inspection experience required; precision machine shop/CNC environment preferred (approximately 5+ years helpful).
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts in production, including first article approval for new setups.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings; verify tolerance compliance.
- Conduct quality control walk-throughs and record in-process inspection data.
- Check for surface defects such as pits, burrs, nicks, and other irregularities.
- Use precision inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, comparator, and bore micrometer.
- Verify raw material/vendor certifications and inspect finished parts received from vendors for shipping or additional assembly.
- Communicate deviations to the appropriate supervisor and work with production teams to resolve quality issues.
Salary: $25/hr-$40/hr, commensurate with experience.
