This Quality Assurance Aviation Construction Inspector opportunity is onsite at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and offers the chance to play a key role in keeping complex airport projects moving safely and on-spec.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Quality Assurance Aviation Construction Inspector position include:
- 3-5+ years of aviation construction inspection/project delivery experience required (7 years ideal), with U.S.-based experience strongly preferred and prior SeaTac experience highly valued
- Attend pre-construction meetings and answer questions from contractors and other attendees
- Perform inspections in active terminal, airfield, and landside environments while coordinating work sequencing to maintain uninterrupted airport operations
- Monitor project phasing and compliance with safety standards, including barricade inspections
- Document work progress and issues throughout the project, including corrective action tracking for non-conformance
- Perform asphalt and concrete material testing
- Verify compliance with FAA requirements and applicable AISC, AWS, ACI, PTI, TMS, airport-owner standards, and project-specific contract requirements
- Review shop drawings, erection plans, welding procedures, bolt-installation methods, and special-inspection plans; support substantial completion, punch-list, and final-acceptance activities for structural scopes
Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
