Qualifications and responsibilities for this Drafting Manager position include:
- 7+ years of professional drafting/design experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role managing drafting/design resources
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical, including assemblies, detailing, sheet metal, and BOM workflows
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly
- Lead and supervise a team of drafters/designers while providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations
- Manage drafting workload, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery across multiple projects
- Establish and maintain drafting standards, detailing practices, templates, and libraries
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project management to support design changes and documentation accuracy
Salary: $80,000 - $150,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
